My favourite blog

24/04/2009

To be honest, I am not used to the blogoshere and stuff. That’s why i haven’t got a favourite blog. That changed a bit last semester as i had to presentate the topic “weblogs” at the IT economics basic course. I got used to the word “blog” and what is it all about. I discovered a range of well writen articles as well as I couldn’t really believe about what crap people are discussing online. Basically I liked 2 of them, which I am still reading every once a while. Spreeblick is a blog about pop-culture, politics and arts off the mainstream based in Berlin. It is pretty interesting to have a look on political themes from an independent view. Further I like the style how the articles are written, always with a hint of sarcasm. The second blog, on which I rather have a look on is Block 11. “11Freunde” is a german football magazine, which focus not on the main sport headlines. Monthly, they present independent and hilarious storys about the glory world of football on and off the pitch. On Block 11 you can meet up the editors, producers and other football fanatics. For every football fan, who also cares about the roots and history definitly worth a visit.

Besides to name english written blogs, I am pretty amazed by the media presentation of the new president of the US, Barack Obama and his official blog called my.barackobama.com or the political diary of the US government on whitehouse.gov/blog. A completely new way of communication between politics and public.
