Last friday, the 24th of April, I have been on a concert at the Maria Club in Berlin, Friedrichshain. No one better then the Blood Red Shoes were playing a gig due to the european clubnight. The german foreign secretary, Frank Walter Steinmeier (for some self-appointed experts the new german Chancellor), invited to come to more then 25 locations and celebrate the european spirit or whatever at the most opened city in europe, our terrific capital. Anyway I did not care, in fact I just wanted to see Laura-Mary Carter, the female and cute part a band, which is getting more and more popular in the brit rock scene. The terrific combination of innocence and beauty on the one side and the astonishing easy use of her gitarre and the cheeky way she screamed out her vocals on the other side were so gorgeous. There was just one possible reaction, falling in love. I guess it is one of those fall-in-love-because-of-being-aware-it-never-will-come-true experiences. Nevertheless, I felt comfortable on the concert. Not because of the fact that the gig was not too crowded or that the second part of the guys from brighton, UK, Steven Ansell almost raped his drums or that both even made it up to play unbelievable 90 minutes; No, I felt comfortable because of Laura-Mary. The songs of the band are pretty significant and accurate to daily feelings, though. Do you need an example? Just check it out ….
Afterwards we went on to a couple of crap partys. I have been out a lot in the last days. The consumption of booze may influenced my personnel view on things and feelings, but what I do know is … I love ya Laura-Mary!
Please do not hesitate to comment me, though. Advices, concerns and declarations of love are welcome, too.
