The German Under 21 team admits the current development of multicultural normality in football. At the moment, the German Under 21 years of age Team plays European Championships in Sweden. In fact the tournament is almost finished and the German team plays the final against England’s U21 on Monday the 29th. The German team and the managers put themselves into the role of being one of the top favourites. They did not play well during the first matches, but we are already aware of the typical German qualities at football tournaments like effective, cold, unsightly and unlikely but successful. And obviously the result is what counts, isn’t it? For that the German team came to the nick name: tournament team. However, what changed compared to earlier years is the fact that almost every player of the team has got non-German roots. 30 years ago, as the German U21 played last time a European final, every single member of the team had got German roots.
